Chemoembolization with Lifepearl® is efficient and safe for the treatment of liver cancer as indicated by good tolerability, quality of life and high tumor response.

Conclusion
LifePearl® pre-loaded with irinotecan (LIFIRI®) or with doxorubicin (LIFDOX®) can be a new step forward in the chemoembolization field, for the treatment of both primary and secondary liver cancer, showing good tumor response and low levels of toxicity. Future work is needed for the confirmation of these data.
